Susan Grosse

Chair

Susan has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Forensic Toxicology and is the Research and Development Manager for the Forensic Toxicology Department and Workplace Drugs Department at Eurofins Forensic Services.

She has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Analysis and a postgraduate diploma in Forensic Medical Science. After completing a post-doctoral research role in Pavia, Italy, Susan began her forensic career in 2003 as a Forensic Toxicologist with Forensic Alliance, now part of Eurofins Forensic Services.

Throughout her career, Susan has specialised in analytical forensic toxicology and has trained as a Reporting Officer, having reported on a wide variety of cases for Coroners and Police Forces across the UK. She has also worked internationally as a locum Forensic Toxicologist for the Government of Bermuda and has provided expert testimony in both UK and overseas courts.

In her current role, Susan plays a key part in driving innovation within the department, leading initiatives to evaluate and implement new methodologies and technologies. She is passionate about continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, having organised and hosted multiple meetings and conferences for the UK and Ireland Association of Forensic Toxicologists (UKIAFT).
